I tend to stay away from shows that are all about religion, but you do have a point about one thing, spirituality is very different than religion. This may seem confusing, but when I hear Rapture, I think of the Rapture people like John Hagee and my ex husband and the funny thing about them is that all they want to talk about is the end of the worlds and "saving" souls by getting donations. Touched by an Angel was a real cute show until they started getting very preachy and judgmental like.
I remember the one that had to do with a man who was in jeopardy of having a dark soul because of tarot cards. I was like "what?" Tarot cards? Are you serious? Yea, tarot cards = Satan = evil. They should have just stuck with the "God loves you" because I always thought that was the whole point, love and knowing that even though you may not do everything correctly or do, have done some bad things of your life. No judgement. I did like Earl the Angel in "Saving Grace" because when the man in prison wants to convert to Islam, he tells Earl that he is really going to miss him and after he makes his declaration, he turns around and Earl is still there. The Earl says "you humans and your religion, just because you move doesn't mean you number changes."
From the trailers I have seen, it looks like the minister is going to be the bad guy.
