Friday Night Death

Will The Messengers survive the curse of Friday night? Usually Fridays are a place CW & other networks dumps failed shows (ie Cult). The Messengers looks great but why would The CW start it out with a huge handicap?? I would hate to get attached to a show that the network execs have no plans on renewing in the first place.

Well they are advertising it pretty heavily so chances are more than likely that they are hoping it will perform solidly there, and if it does they'll renew it. I think they had to basically had to "favor" one midseason show over the other when it came to timeslots and they chose iZombie which is probably not a bad choice given the ratings were pretty solid even following a repeat of The Flash.

I am hoping it does GREAT for Friday but if nothing else I just truly hope it does well enough to get a second season.

I wish it well too, just hate seeing it getting this treatment. Also happy iZombie did fairly decent w/out that big lead in.

What do you think would be good for Friday night on The CW?

Supernatural did well for them there. I think their best bet is supernatural/horror/sci-fi projects, or maybe even a high profile show like DC, it might do lower than what it would get during the week but undoubtedly give them solid ratings for a Friday.

I'm choosing to remain positive about The Messengers. The CW has renewed some ridiculously low-rated shows, we'll just have to hope for the best.
