I would give this show a chance, but...

This show actually looks like it might be decent. I would give it a chance, but it looks like the CW itself isn't going to give it one. Not only are they waiting to almost summer to premiere it, but they're giving it the worst possible time slot with one of the worst lead-ins and barely any promotional support.

Does anyone know how big the episode order is?

So what? It's avoiding the shuffle of all those other mid-season premieres.

...But they're giving it the worst possible time slot...

There's nothing wrong with Friday nights.

...With one of the worst lead-ins...

I'll give you this one.

...And barely any promotional support.

How do you figure that?

Does anyone know how big the episode order is?

It is thirteen.

When you look at the opportunity the network is giving iZombie, with its post-Flash berth and what not, and compare it with the treatment TM is getting, it's easy to tell which one they have higher hopes in. I've been through this with other CW midseason shows. Don't get your hopes up, kid. ;)

Anyway, thanks for answering my question.

Just watch anyways, every viewer counts!

Only if you're a Nielsen family. Otherwise you don't count.

And I agree, Friday night is where networks put shows they know won't make it (or don't want to succeed for various reasons, like the production costs are too high or they want the actors for other projects.) They must have low expectations for this one.

I know that but watch anyway!!!! Get people to watch and tweet!

Nielsen family? Do those still exist? I'm pretty sure everyone with a digital cable box is a "Nielsen family" these days. I'm pretty sure rentals count as well to show what the viewership is like.

reply

Viewers of the show don't count, the only viewers that count are the people watching the ads, and that's where the Nielsen ratings come in.

TV Networks make money from selling the product, that product is you the viewer.

They sell the product (You) to the advertisers (The people that actually pay for TV)

The TV shows themselves are just a way to make sure you are around to watch the ads.

Unless the way you view the show can be monetized for the advertisers then they won't keep a show around.

Isn't it getting Arrow's slot once Arrow Season 3 ends?

That won't be til summer though I suppose, since Arrow has 8 episodes from 18th March (so final one is 6th May I think)

reply

No, Supernatural I'd getting that. The messengers is on Fridays starting April 10th.

I'll watch until the inevitable love triangle appears then I'll quit.........
