If they can cut out the teen romance and focus on the sci-fi, I have hope.
shareI was lucky enough to see both the rough cut and final cut of the pilot episode and can honestly say romance wasn't a factor. The episode focuses on introducing the characters and gives you a general feel for how the series will play out.
It was definitely my favourite pilot of the 2014-2015 season and pretty close to my favourite pilot of all time. I think it's going to be quite a hit for The CW, especially as I hear it is getting the post-Arrow time slot (not confirmed, just rumours floating around). Definitely worth checking out!

No matter how good this show is it will always be in the shadow of the only show to do angels justice...a show you don't even have to change the channel to see. Supernatural.
shareI honestly think this show can be way better than Supernatural but that is coming from someone who hated Supernatural and couldn't get past the first season.
shareExcuse you, Dominion is doing angels more justice than Supernatural has since seasons 4-5. And I love Supernatural.
sharesupernatural is awesome. i wouldn't get into the messengers if i were anyone come on it the network CW there have 1 maybe 2 seasons then cancel the show just like they do with ALL there new shows. you get right into them the bang cancelled just because a few drops in viewings. useless
shareI would say that the higher angels on dominion are very well done and I actually enjoy that show. However, the lower angels are an abomination to the concept. I think the fat, naked cherub of supernatural was more befitting of the concept of a lower angel than the zombie looking things from legion/dominion.
Supernaturals angels were a brilliant concept, right up until the point where they realized that being true to their roots made them too powerful within the show. The fall was a great way to keep them around without allowing them to be overpowered.
Sadly, this move did result in angels who did a bit less justice to the concept, but who could remain without undercutting the risk of death necessary to maintaining the shows concept.
