The Devil says he'll give Vera her kid, clear the goatee's name, give Koa her money etc if they will simply hear him out. They do, but he doesn't hold up his end. Then he says that he'll save the preacher if they tell him about the vision. WHY WOULD THEY EVEN CONSIDER IT? not even an hour earlier he broke his word!

He never told them he would give them those things IMMEDIATELY. He just said he would give them those things without attaching a timetable. The devil is a tricky SOB. He'll give them what he promised, but he'll do it on his own timetable.
Hence my question why they would even consider it. It's not plausible.
shareHe's already made it clear he wants the Messengers to stop the rapture(The Horseman), and they can't do that without all of the Messengers. There's no reason he would've given up Rose's ruse if he was still in league with the Horsemen.
