Pretty decent series finale!

i actually really liked this finale. there were a couple of scenes in it that had me tearing up a bit. having Vera finally be reunited with her son was really well done and the scene where [spoiler] the messengers were shot/"killed" by the guards i found surprisingly moving.

Same here. I was glad I stuck around to watch the rest of the show despite the cancellation. The finale had some really moving scenes, the big sacrifice, the invention from God and the healing rain was very well handled. I also liked how the metaphors tied up everything. God giving us the tools to build and destroy ourselves ultimately came down to if they were worthy of being saved in the first place. The messengers selflessly gave up their lives in order to stop the end(which I think caused the intervention).

It would be nice to have another season, since I think it has potential, but I'm fine with this being the ending of the show. It was cool for what it was IMHO.

I LOVED the season finale! I've even rewatched some scenes. It was hands down the best episode of this season. The scene with the healing rain, the "human shield" one, and especially the one where the Devil tells Vera the real motive behind his kidnapping of her son ("Every generation of Messengers has a Michael somewhere among them... Your son is an archangel.")... LOVED it.

I still hope the show gets picked up by some other network. I don't remember ever getting so upset about a TV show being canceled ever since "The Secret Circle". The Archangel Michael v. The Antichrist storyline has so much potential and looks very promising, I'm intrigued and totally hooked! I wish they gave this show another chance. Good grief!

The finale also had a hauntingly beautiful song featured closer to the ending. 💜

Shame is got cancelled so early. It did get pretty good as the ending drew near and the Anti-Christ storyline would have been interesting.

I also thought the group had nice chemistry together.

I hadn't thought about it until you mentioned it but your right this group did have very good chemistry. It is a shame it ended so soon, and so quickly.

I am not a fan of the show but I did watch all the episodes. I agree the last episode was the best one. I actually enjoyed it.

I have to admit, the direction this show ended up taking was a bit disappointing. I was hoping for a little more fantasy or something, maybe, I'm not sure. In the beginning I'd been hoping for something darker, for the plot to delve into the arcane a little bit which it never did.It went a little sci-fi towards the end and felt more like a spin on "Heroes" than anything, but for what it was, it was a fun ride. It's a shame The CW gave up on it so quickly, I really would have liked to see where it would have gone had it gotten more support from the beginning and a real chance at a second season. But it was obvious from the beginning The CW was placing all its bets on iZombie and The Messengers was never going to get a fair shot.

That being said, of all the other shows I've had canceled on me this did at least have the feeling of having a real ending, gotta be grateful for that.
