The lead actresses is just a ballerina

It seems she doesn't do much of a job acting and really is a talented ballerina, and got this role because she is very good at it. She kind of mopes around and she's not terrible acting but she doesn't seem to have much depth. I guess they really needed a great dancer and she fits the bill for that perfectly.

Did you watch all 8 episodes? At least have the nerve to give her a bad review when you have seen every episode.

Also, have you ever been to the ballet? Ballet dancers know how to act, they do it on stage.

You must know that the ability to act, as dancers do on stage, does not necessarily equate to the ability to act convincingly in a play or screen piece. Some have the talent and craft to do both at a high level, and some do not (and then, of course, there are some dancers who are technically amazing, but can't even do 'dancer acting' satisfactorily).

Just make a movie that makes me care, one way or another. I'm open.

I agree with your point. But the OP, stating she is "just a ballerina", is behaving like a troll or a moron. As if a dancer is unable to convey any emotion, or unable to act.

Also, I think she did a good job, given a crappy story line, and some fairly horrible lines. This was not a great series. It had major flaws, especially the <spoiler>incest</spoiler> storyline.

I see your point, but I think she's portraying a character. One with a complicated background.

Actually, I thought she did a great job of transitioning when she was high at the table with Laurent.

I just wasn't made for these times. (Brian Wilson)
