Season 2
I haven't watched Flesh and Bone yet, but I wonder if this is going to have a second season, or if it's a one-season show.
Does anyone know?
one-season show. it cost too much so they decided to to make it a limited series.

shareWhy does everyone keep saying it costs too much for a second season???? It costs more than Boardwalk Empire? Rome? Game of Thrones? What is behind the exorbitant costs? Paychecks for ballerinas? There's no friggin scenery. There's no elaborate set productions or special effects. There are no big-name actors. The series seems to have been extremely well-received. I don't get it.

Probably return on investment wasn't worth it. Shows like Boardwalk, Game of Thrones networks build their names upon. They make money back through advertising, subscriptions, etc.
While I loved Flesh and Bone, unfortunately it's not really one of 'those' shows, so Starz probably didn't have much incentive to invest in a second season.
You're right. I can see a limited audience appeal. That's the bottom line, of course.

Remember too that Starz have form in regard to puzzling cancellations, with 'Boss' being a notable case in point.
I agree! I really wish they would make a second season.
