The most powerful scene you've ever seen in a show or film. ??? Really? What was so exceptional about it.? Personally I did not enjoy the show when all was done. I have nothing against you thinking this way , but please elaborate on what made it "the greatest scene of all time".? As far as the sex, there's plenty of it . I didn't think the show was about sex at all. It was about the beauty of dancing and was sexual in nature. Obviously enough sex scenes also. What do you mean by your OP ?
In order to be specific, I have to refer to scenes you or others may not have seen already.
But I can say this --
All of the sex in this show is about power, not about beauty or love. It's about power that people hold over others; or want to wield over each other; or the power that's given away, the power we give to sex that makes us captives (prey) or predators; the power exchange between partners that's a natural part of sex; the power of submission, and ultimately, the power of the individual, especially women, to choose, to create, to withhold. Human beings are contradictions because we're all base animals who need to touch each other (and that is beautiful) in order to gain entry to the ethereal soul, not only of our partner's, but of our own.
And that's not the half of it! Throw in ballet and oye!...we've made sex into an art form...
God made man because he loves stories. —Rabbi Nachman
The sex is about sex, but not in a gratuitous kind of way and it has a lot of meaning. It's about the people and their feelings and who they are at the very core.
