Chest tattoo

Haven't seen the one of Romeo but the one on Bryan says "kafir", which means "non-Muslim" in Arabic. If he feels so strongly about tattooing it on his chest he must be a Muslim-hater. Some quality soldier here (yes I'm being sarcastic), hating the very people he's supposed to protect, in their own country.

That translation of the tattoo makes no sense to the storyline. At least what I can think of.

But wouldn't "non-muslim" make sense for Brian because it kind of means foreigner and he feels like he doesn't belong anywhere?

well kafir means actually non believer not only in Islam but in Christianty too. in other words (in turkish we say so) a person that has no book. thats just how turkish people use it. i dunno the afhans tho. so i think the reason why romeo did that can be related to the "hero who will live to tell the story" thing? or something else. i dont think he knew what it meant
