Amazing show....a shame there's no Season 2

Moira Walley-Beckett certainly learned a lot from "Breaking Bad". She created an incredible show....gorgeous to look at, layered with great performances, dark subtexts, and fantastic music too. I just watched the final episode and can't get it out of my mind.

I think the critics who called it 'ballet with strippers' are ridiculous. Maybe some of those scenes are a little over-the-top but they're supposed to be. I also think the show does an amazing job of suggesting the inner conflicts inside Claire's mind, visually.

I am just saddened that this was a limited run series. Starz says it was too expensive to make (no earthly idea why), which is why there would not be a season 2.

Maybe it's for the better though. This was true art and near perfection. It deserved its Golden Globe nominations and Sarah Hay is a star in the making.

BRAVO.

Wow, that really sucks, I finally find a beautiful TV show to watch and there is only 8 episodes.
I just finished watching episode 4 so I guess I will take my time to watch the rest.
This is a really wonderful show, I love the ballet, the actors, the strip club, I hate the brother (very very happy when the goons beat him up), very interesting world.
The Golden Globes nominations brought me here and after watching the trailer I started watching the show and was pleasantly surprised.
Thank you for creating a positive thread for this show.
Sometimes IMDB threads can be very ridiculous or hateful talking about meaningless things like the actress' bra size...

What a beautiful explanation of the show. Maybe we'll get lucky with a season 2 after the golden globe nominations? ... We can hope.

Thanks for the nice comments. I agree there's been a lot of negative trolling on here about this terrific show, mainly by people who are either pretending to be real-life ballerinas quibbling about "realism" or people with nothing better to do.

And another bravo for your description. At least it garnered more than niche attention thanks to the Golden Globe Nomination.

When I saw Wolf Hall nominated, I felt it would win. Not my choice but it's a Mark Rylance kind of year.

Gracias....and agreed!

Stuffy PBS programming always wins..lol. Although Rylance is pretty amazing. A shame "Flesh and Bone" didn't win.

I'm really going to miss it. When the news dropped that it was going to be a mini-series event I wasn't all that bothered, as I figured it'd work fine in that format. Didn't expect it to be as good and engaging as it was.
