Whiplash?
I found it somewhat similar to the 2014 movie Whiplash. The maniac professor and his focus on one student, especially with the scene where he blew up and broke the chair and yanking Claire by her arm to go talk to her.
This was a brilliant show. It could definitely use less nudity lol but it was really really entertaining. I don't know what to do with my life right now.
