just saw it, wrote a review.

Sorry folks, just saw this and as I mentioned in my review...its pretty much a Law and Order episode. Nothing thrilling at all.

Thanks!

When will it be released?

reply

Anyone have any idea when this will be released?

reply

Never? They should just sell it to HBO or Showtime...if it isn't super heroes,
theaters don't like it.

reply

just came online and saw it here..... didn't even realize it had been released, in japan (i think?) anyways....

It's mercy, compassion and forgiveness I lack. Not rationality...

reply

Well as long as it's a good Law and Order episode it'll be worth a look, time killer at worst.

reply

I've just watched it, what a load of *beep* lol

reply

Really? I thought it was pretty decent for what it was, it was well acted and produced with a twist I didn't see coming, can't really complain about much. 6/10

reply

I agree. Well plotted and acted with a twist that took me completely by surprise. If you like courtroom dramas you will not be disappointed by this one.

reply

Also people are complaining that the assistant's role was needless, when in fact, it was central to the plot, as was the son's silence.
The script is absolutely solid, I guess I only wished for better direction or casting. I felt Renée was unbeleivable, but I am not a fan of hers generally, whereas Keanu, well, what can we say. I see everything by Keanu, like him beyond my control, as I am always underwhelmed by his performances.

But this story is rock solid, a masterful bit of writing lawyer writing.

***So I've seen 4 movies/wk in theatre for a 1/4 century, call me crazy?**

I strongly disagree I think there were some serious issues. First off and the most glaringly obvious was that they charged the kid with murder in the first but made absolutely no mention whatsoever as to the premeditation. They didn't even try and present a single fact to support murder in the first. So this tells me they were kinda hoping the audience didn't know much about "actual" criminal law. Murder in the first just sounds better....daaaahhh

Second, there were so many places were objections should have been made and were not, also would never happen in real life. An example would be the stewardess testifying to the kids mood on the plane. She's not technically qualified to say whether he was feeling sullen or not. That would have been torn apart. There were several examples like this.

And another major WTF was: that if the kid knew it was the lawyer that did it or was at least some how involved which he must have known because he presents this (at the end?), then why the heck would he have gone along with this fiasco. Nevermind the fact that his mother was betraying him for some guy. Give me a break.

The acting was not that great either really. Keanu's a wash up. 🙊 Just my opinion of course although I did watch it objectively, just sayin'....

Regarding the flight attendant, why would he object when it played right into their strengths?

Thanks to your comment I watched this movie! I'm glad I did too! Thank you! It went along well I was just mad at how much the mother hated her husband to take it out on the son. What a vindictive, lying snake. I want to see the peeping tom neighbour come for her next.

reply

Solid 6 out of 10 sounds reasonable.

Just watched it and it was perfect for tonight and what I was doing...sitting at my computer and mostly watching the film but also doing a few other things when I'd pause the movie.

Definitely don't regret the time invested in seeing the film and found it to be enjoyable, especially for free. And I didn't see the twist coming at the end! lol

reply

It wasn't bad at all.

I see that you 'laughed out loud' and, I wonder... Did you?

reply

This movie seemed promising but the twists and turns where too obvious (been there, done that etc etc)..........but I have to admit the main thing that derailed me and lose complete focus was Renée Zellweger!

reply

You joking its a BRILLIANT movie, had me on the edge of my seat and you just never knew where it was going too.

I loved it and would recommend it to anyone. This is way more advanced then any Law and Order episode i have seen. Acting was brilliant too.

Highly recommend. Never saw the ending coming thats for sure.
