I am starting to love classical music because of this show

I was never into it.
But now the show is so well done, the music is so well integrated into people's (characters) lives and the into the city that I can't help to fall in love with classical music.

We can only hope Tracy. Although I don't live in a big city, we are very artsy and have great classical (as well opera, live theater, etc) options to go see live. I began my child at an early age (in her mid 30's now) and can't tell you how proud I was when she chose music history as an elective in college! I can't play any instruments but love to listen and have great appreciation for those that can. Best wishes and cheers to the new season on its way!

I grew up with it, my grandfather was the most talented musician I've ever known. He took part in The Santa Claus Parade with his marching band into his 70's. I rediscovered it when I started making trips to Europe.

I've like some classical since I was a kid (a l-o-n-g time ago!) but, yes this is really stoking the fire. And, as always, music in films, mixed for surround sound, always so so much better than regular recordings (IMHO)

Your post is music to my ears; I used to listen to Classical since a teenager and loved it since but not exclusively, I also liked Heavy Metal, Classic Rock and a few others. Nowadays I can only listen to Classical and it's a pitty how expensive it is to attend performances where I live. My love of it is the only reason I got me a Google Music subscription (there are better ones with FLAC for more money) and high end headphones.
I try to listen to what other stuff I used to when younger and I can't enjoy it anymore, only Classical (and some oriental classical).
