Ruining a franchise

The MCU universe has had some big ups and downs in the movie industry, but it seems like this franchise is never going to be better than mediocre. The directors of these films have decided to completely disregard all fan feedback and continue to deliver the same brooding mess as the last 3 films. They picked a HORRIBLE Villain. They ruined Thor as a character. While Thor is likable, he IS NOT a good character. Loki should not be this brooding depressed jackass, he's supposed to be a literal symbol of hope and positivity and determination. Loki is supposed to be a blonde guy. Hulk does not come off as intensely intelligent as we've come to expect from Banner. They are ruining all of our beloved characters. At this point any additional movies are to squeeze as much money out of this franchise as possible and then reboot it in a few years.

If you'd seen the first two "Thor" films, you'd realize that for a Thor film to be mediocre is a huge step up for the franchise!

reply

Indeed.

reply

Not that the first two films weren't enjoyable in a way.

But there's a big difference between a fun movie and a genuinely good one.

reply

I agree, they weren't all bad.

reply

The first one was ok but the second was pretty good and the third was meh. It was just a convoluted mess.

thor 3 was a straight up comedy, which was sad...

reply
