a COMEDY for 5 years old kids

Not serious at all

reply

well.. comic books are mainly for kids...

I say mainly because I realise this is 2017 and many adults go to these movies... But they go to watch disney cartoons as well...

reply

Every Marvel adaptation since Iron Man in 2008 has been the same movie with the same humor and same personality. Just different characters. They don't feel anything like the comics.

reply

But Thor was basically a stand up comedian in this one.

reply

you are right.

It's not that "serious", "philosophical", "deep", "mature" ABSOLUTE MINDNUMBING DRAG for 5 yo kids like the DCEU.

Thank god DCEU doesn't have humor in it...

... oh wait

Bump

reply

If you have to bump your post because it isn't good enough to stay at the top, take that as a sign that your post sucks.

reply

That was 7 days ago says the person who signed up 7 days ago.

lolz

reply

How is that relevant?

reply

Criticizing someone for bumping their own post is just funny and ironic.

reply

Not even being a smartass, but how is it ironic? I was a decade long member of Imdb, and a member of this site as soon as IMDB closed it's message boards, but it didn't have a lot of activity in the beginning. I didn't remember what email or password I used,so starting a new ID seemed easier. Someone bumping their own post has always come across as desperate, and it didn't happen often.

reply

No....you were saying he had no right to criticize the bumping because of his time here as a poster. Don't try to play it off as anything else.

reply

Wait, your title has comedy right in it. If you are aware that it is a comedy, why would you expect it to take itself seriously?

reply

I tihnk he loved the fact that it was a comedy and laughed and laughed all the way to the bank

reply

Why is Thor a comedian all of a sudden?

reply

He isn't. He's a character in a Marvel movie that was an action-comedy.

reply

The first 2 Thor movies weren't comedies so it doesn't make sense that the third one would be one.

reply

Yes,and the director was very open about how that didn't work that well for the character and it was better suited for comedy. They recognized a chance to improve it,and since it is the highest critically acclaimed Thor movie,it seems it was a smart decision.

reply

while the comedic part was a tad bit much, it was utterly needed to improve the character, as you said. thor in the previous movies was a rather narcissistic, stocky douche. the change of him taking himself less serious was awesome. even when he fell back to his own ways some comedic incident, where he was the butt of the joke, pulled him back to reality. loved it.

reply

Of course it's not serious! Why should everything be serious? Why should a movie based on a particularly silly comic book be serious?

Serious and intelligent people can enjoy all sorts of silly things, if they have a sense of humor.

reply

When someone says something short and stupid, instead of laying down a few logical reasons to back up a statement you know they are a moron troll and to ignore.

reply

agreed ^
