BEST SOUNDTRACK SCORE OF THE YEAR

If it isn’t this year’s greatest, then it’s without a doubt in the top 5 (the best of all the superhero movies released this year). While you can say it brings to mind a few of those classic synth scores from the 80’s, it’s still unique, a bit diverse (also has moments of traditional orchestra), and super fitting for this movie. But more than anything, it is pure Mark Mothersbaugh. For example, a handful of the pieces, particularly the one played at the end credits, basically sound like Devo without vocals.

Mothersbaugh completely delivered with this massively cool score. Just as I had expected.

the best? nah.

Immigrant Song made it good though.

It remained me of Tron Legacy's Daft Punk score at times.

Flash Gordon had QUEEN...can't go wrong with that. Thor had ZEPPELIN...can't go wrong with that, either.
