I have to say, I like him as Russell Jackson on this show.
I know he tends to usually be cast as a flat-out villain, so it's nice to see him as more of a "gray" character this time. Not blindly evil, but he still has his cunning that makes him not a flat-out goody-good either.

I've always loved Zelko. Glad to see him as more than a bad guy. Russell Jackson is the most interesting character on the show.

Not sure how "steady" this is: Madam Secretary is not doing too well in the ratings. Sure hope things improve for this excellent show!

I have also wondered if it were related to the NFL games. I don't know if the ratings remain low when the football season is over. Of course if people develop the habit of avoiding because of the NFL, they may continue avoiding these excellent Sunday shows like MS and TGW.

The best shows always have crap ratings.. Blame the (lack of) taste of most TV viewers, which tends to be low brow and inane, preferring mindless programming that requires no serious thought.

Its good to see him in a regular series again, rather than just as a memorable guest star.
And I agree, he's a very complex character. Ruthless and cunning, but well meaning and pragmatic.
