Henry Affair?

Does anyone else get the feeling that Henry and Jane (his old handler/current colleague) could have an affair in the cards? I love how picture-perfect his relationship with Elizabeth is, but I'm getting this funny feeling when I see him and Jane together as of the latest episode. It would be sad, but it feels so possible this season.

Thoughts?

Rats, I was thinking the same thing as I watched last night. The lingering glances she gives him... I don't know.... I mean, I think there is a real following for this show and that most people like Henry and Elizabeth together - that their lives are so hectic and their marriage is usually in a good place.

But yea... was thinking the same thing. 😕

Well, maybe you're right and the affair is coming...but I'm not getting that vibe. I'd like to think both Henry and his co-worker have more sense than to go down that path. Sure would be nice to have an hour-long drama where main characters weren't involved in sleazy affairs/didn't jump into bed with friends/co-workers.

I don't see it that way. They are close, at times what they have been doing they can only talk to each other about it, so they would be closer than normal. I guess it's possible that she could want more from him, but given the fact that Henry was yelling at Elizabeth the way he was, and the way he rushed back to help her deal with the horse, makes me think he loves her and would not cheat.

It still doesn't change the fact that Henry and Jill Hennessy have amazing chemistry. I at least want a kiss before he comes to his senses.

Knock knock...this is not a Shonda Rhimes show. You need to look elsewhere if you want to see co-workers hooking up.

You said knock knock, I'll answer the door and reply I am not expecting a full blown love affair and betrayal by a deeply devout man as Henry. It's obvious her character compliments his. A kiss is him being tempted by outside forces to be someone he is not. The seduction then the recovery, and he rejecting it is what I want to see. And yes you are right this isn't Shonda Rhimes style.

Ugh, no. I do not want to see trite marital melodrama invading this show. Let's keep the Jerry Springer sleaze out of it.

Men and women can be friends and have a deep respect and care for each other without it being a relationship. I see them as really good friends but I don't think they would do that it would tear apart the whole family and the only way that Elizabeth can do her job is because she has Henry to rely on. The producers would be crazy to do that to the show.
