Had it already been established?

That Dalton is a Republican?
With the party stance on climate change it is obvious.

reply

I just read a summary on IMDB about a cyclone being blamed on the president because he doesn't pay lip service to global warming? Sounds like a bad parody only probably realistic about how dumb anything trying to propagate environmental issues has turned into.

reply

Lol. The president wasn't being blamed for the cyclone. A naval base was hit by the cyclone. Because it was redone 2 years previous, precautions should have been made. However, one of the "big" donors who did the rebuilding ignored numerous cautions about the effects climate change has on how the bases are built.

reply

Was going to ask this myself.

reply

I'm glad they don't emphasize party affiliation. It seems to help keep disagreements few.

reply

I don't recall any particular party being mentioned one way or the other. The climate change thing was pretty surprising. I mean, it has to be that Dalton is a Republican unless in this alternative universe, the Democrats dragged their feet on climate change.

Also, the fact that the no-bid military contractor/big money donor was Burton was a huge giveaway that Dalton is a Republican. Having him be a conservative is an interesting choice. Maybe in their universe, the GOP was never taken over by tea bagger idiots? So dumb opinions about climate change aside, they're not as anti-intellectual and ridiculous and instead are a sane party with actual plans and policies?

reply

No it was mentioned in one episode he's a democrat.

reply

Really. I missed that.
Which one was it, please?
They do seem to make hybrids, though as the denial of climate change doesn't fit with the Dems.

reply

Of the top of my head I can't remember, if it comes to me I'll let you know.
