I didn't think Donald Trump was one of the candidates who was running in the fictional TV universe of this TV show.

I mean, the name of the president is "Conrad Dalton", and he looks like Keith Carradine (i.e., a white man). That sort of tells me that this show is not supposed to be a mirror of our reality.

Maybe a few people watch the show because they feel as if Elizabeth id Hillary, but I certainly don't watch it for that reason. Personally, I don;t really see anything about Elizabeth that makes me think she is supposed to be Hillary Clinton.

The only similarity is that they were both woman Secretaries of State. But if that's supposed to mean that Elizabeth is Hillary, then you could argue that Elizabeth is Madeleine Albright.
