Carradine overmatched in POTUS role

I don't know if it's my perceived inferior acting ability of his or what, but I've never bought it that this guy is POTUS. At times it seems he's just going through the motions, phoning it in and just saying his lines.

The role was miscast IMO.

I don't think they're writing him to have much interaction with the cast or storylines that have that much of an impact. To me, he's too peripheral, but he shouldn't be. Is his acting bad or does he just have no act?
