i want to love this, but its non stop corny
the jokes are terrible and its overacted
nope
Some of them are amusing. The problem for me is the delivery of every line is ridiculously unnatural, and then punctuated relentlessly by the most intrusive overdone laugh track I have ever heard. I blame the direction and post-production - awful stuff.
shareWhen you say this show is "overacted" and that "the delivery of every line is ridiculously unnatural," you're describing my two primary complaints about it.
The actors are too loud (at times they're practically shouting), too "over the top," and have an obvious, overrehearsed, contrived delivery that just sounds too sitcom-like, too jokey, too wisecrack-oriented, instead of sounding like believable, spontaneous conversation -- which should always be the goal. In a nutshell, these characters all sound like sitcom characters, not real people.
Please, keep it real. If I really felt like I was eavesdropping on a real conversation in someone's home, the humor would be so much more believable, and thus funnier. (The show would also need to be better written, but that's another topic.)
the over dramatization is a bit much and some of the jokes are really corny. But this last episode was really funny so I'm going to keep giving it a try.
