So Tony Stark goes to Queens and meets this teenage kid who has these spider like superpowers. Just how did he acquire these powers? Was he born this way? Also, he is living with his aunt. Thats rather weird. Where is his mother and father? Did they pass on the same superpowers to him? Did I miss any deleted scenes?

shareI noticed the same thing. I also wonder-- he lives with his aunt, but where is his uncle? I believe that it has been purposely left vague to pique our curiosity. No doubt his arcane and unexplained origin story will be gradually pieced together in coming films, but for now the point is to have this character be mysterious, and his origins utterly unknown.
