Ultron equals Vision's attraction to Wanda?

I'm don't know all that much about the comics. So this observation is strictly from the MCU.

So Vision is a weird amalgam/composite of Ultron's base consciousness, Jarvis' protocols and such, and some of Thor's magic hammer lightning.

In Age of Ultron, Ultron has this odd affection for Wanda that I never quite understood. He feels hurt and betrayed when she interfered on the train. Then right before Wanda yanks his heart out, Ultron laments that she needs to leave to save herself. (Which is odd considering his Sokovian-Comet was a Global killer.)

My questions are: Is Vision's affection for Wanda a genuine emotion he's having? Or a leftover-trace from the base consciousness of Ultron?

Yes, I'm probably reading waaay too much into it. Haha

Using only the MCU as base, I don't think there is a single answer to that. I think it's up to interpretation. But their bond didn't exactly happen overnight, it was progressive. So maybe it's both: some Ultron love and some Vision love. lol.

I'm a hopeless romantic, so I really want/hope Vision to have genuine real feelings for Wanda. The whole Ultron-base-affection idea just popped into my head the other night. You ever have those random thoughts you just gotta share? LoL. Most of my useless thoughts revolve around movies.

I feel you, xd. Despite being irrelevant for the enjoyment of the franchise, this was actually an interesting question. Had you never brought this up, I wouldn't have given it any thoughts.

I get tons of weird ass thoughts on movies that pop randomly. I guess that's why I just recently signed-on to this site. Gotta have an outlet I suppose.

You might not be as far off as you think. In the comics that's actually what happened. Vison was given Simon William's (Wonder Man) thought patterns and fell in love with Wanda. It was later revealed that Simon was also in love with Wanda and that's where Vision's attraction to her came from.
