Where will it air now?

Just saw that Pivot is gone as of today, October 31, 2016. Fortitude was supposed to return on the channel January 2017. So what happens now? Does it get a new tv deal on another channel or maybe new episodes premiere on Amazon Prime where season one is airing?

Really too bad that the channel shut down. I loved when they would do Buffy marathons like they did last Halloween. Was hoping maybe Smallville was headed to the channel like Veronica Mars and Buffy.

Pivot may have co-produced the second series, but for all intents and purposes it was Dave for Americans/Canadians (i.e. a rerun channel).

Sky Atlantic is the creator channel, and it will air as planned there at the end of January. No doubt the second series will be available on AmazonPrime as soon as it has finished airing. My guess would be June, but perhaps earlier.

AmazonPrime and a region 1 dvd both reduced the necessity of a channel like Pivot, which had a hard time getting picked up for US cable packages to begin with. It seems to me fans of British television in the US find other outlets than cable television to see their favorite programming. Even BBC America mostly just runs American shows - it runs more ST: TNG than Doctor Who.

So no US channels will carry? thats a bummer.

Last season it aired on WGN in the US, it's how I initially found the show. That channel also airs the show Salem, another show I watch. I have DirecTv though so idk about other providers, but WGN should be a standard sort of channel since it offers no other new content other than the two previously mentioned, at least as far as I know of.
