MAJOR SPOILERS - Started so so good and then...

....went totally ridiculous. Characters acting dumb, making choices that serve the plot. Somethings just didn't make sense. Inconsistent behavior by scientists & DCI. Really wanted to like it and did until episode 6 or so and after that I could not believe how they ruined the potential. It was almost like they had to somehow stretch it to 11 episodes, seeded lots of stuff and then couldn't wrap it up. Disappointed.

I stuck with it the whole first season hoping it would improve...it never did. It seemed to suffer from lack of focus with too many bland sub-plots, and also from trying too hard to protect its central mystery about the reason behind the killings. By the time it ended, what I mainly felt was relief that it was done and wouldn't have to waste any more time watching it.

Edit: Oh, I just wanted to add that another thing that rankled me about the show was the killing off of Stanley Tucci's character. His was the only character in the cast who anchored my interest, and once he was gone that pretty much decided it for me I wasn't going to return if there was a second season.

It was ever good? After the first episode I'm done. Too soap operaish.
