I teared up at the end
I teared up at the end, not ashamed to admit it. It was when the e gruff NYPD cop congratulated Phillippe and Phillippe was given a free pass to the observeration deck for forever.

shareI loved that part. I think we all needed this movie.
shareI woke up at three am on Sunday - the 15 year anniversary - Id never heard of this film - I watched it as the Sun came up on a beautiful day - every time I think of the last scene I nearly cry - I cried when I try to persuade my mum to watch it - we definitely needed this movie - Its the word forever that gets me as well - as well as the beautiful final scene. Thats what will be in my mind when I think of them now - what beauty achieves.
The ending was done very tastefully. I wondered if the filmmakers will add some mention about the towers getting destroyed in the future; perhaps even shots of planes crashing into the towers. But they did not add anything specific, only the word "forever", which alluded to the unforeseen future events.
shareSame here... this film is on fire with passion and intensity as Philippe let's nothing get in his way of his dreams. Along with the obvious 9/11 connotations the ending captured that sense of achievement perfectly.
