Oh, absolutely.

I've never been a huge fan of heights and honestly, that was the reason why I decided to skip the theatrical release of the movie and wait for the DVD/Blu-ray.

I eventually bought the Blu-ray, saw it on my 3D TV, and I have to say, there were definitely a lot of scenes that made me feel quite uncomfortable. However, I never closed my eyes and was able to fully enjoy the spectacle.

Last night while watching this terrific movie, is the first time in my life I have ever gotten sweaty palms!

I am glad I knew ahead of time that he doesn't fall, or I would have been a total mess.

Finally! An *advantage* to not having 3D vision/depth perception!

I just watched it on Starz, and I thought it was great! I just wish it had been effectively marketed; it could have been a huge hit. I wasn't aware of it either when it was in theaters.

BTW, just because I cannot see in 3D, does not mean I cannot intellectually appreciate the fact that heights scare the hell out of many people. So there! ;)

Yes. I do not have a head for heights. I saw it in 3D. Top marks for Robert Zemeckis!

The suspense of him walking the the wire was more intense than any horror film I've seen. He seemed so relaxed, calm, even joyful, while I just wanted him to finish his walk and get off that damn wire. Even though I knew he never fell, it was still a tremendous relief when he finally got back onto the building.

Easily the most uncomfortable I've EVER been watching a movie, EVER! I didn't even see this in the theater or 3D. Watched it at home and I had to take a break several times, was clentching my teeth and holding a pillow as tight as I could mash it. I felt like I was gonna crap my pants or pass out.

I'm okay with heights, so watching this in 3D didn't affect me as it may others, but I remember there was one moment during the high-wire walk where the camera shifts focus from Petit's shoulder as he crosses the first cavalettes, that made me catch my breath and definitely gave me a sense of movement. It was pretty awesome.

Definitely. In fact this film made me more uncomfortable than when I actually was at the top of the WTC itself!

Granted I wasn't outside on the actual roof of the building, - the roof terrace was closed that day due to high winds - but I remember sitting on the bench right at the window looking straight down to the street below.

Quite an experience that, sadly, I'll never be able to repeat.
