No way.

As this was a Spielberg effort and he's already done this before in Close Encounters AND Taken, we essentially already know how this will end.

So why bother?

No renewal of cast's contracts = no season two.

The one doesn't mean the other. They just were not ready to take a decision yet because the series didn't score the way they expected it to. Besides, regarding the finale I don't think the second season would need too many of the season 1 cast members. At least not as regulars.

Well I would like to see a S-2 of some sort to wrap this up
But the ratings were fairly low, so they may just cancel it and leave us
hanging !

In the description, it was being billed as "season finale".

If it comes back for season 2, I doubt I'll pick it up.

Then again, I'm still watching "Under The Dome" and "Orphan Black". Each episode, I'm getting more lost. But, I can't stop watching in case something big happens.
