Basically they could tell where drill was through thermal imaging, which they already established earlier. So why not use it to check the children to see who was drill in the first place. I mean if they did that then minx wouldn't of been a suspect and Cassandra/drill would of been caught right away preventing the signal from being released...PLOT HOLE

Not neccesarily a plot hole, but the Doctor Benevides did caught him early on . Those cat scans she was looking at before Drill entered the room showed someone was already brain dead.

You're right, misuse of the words plot hole. But still very frustrating that there were obvious ways to prevent the invasion.
