Any chance of Red Hulk and/or the Thunderbolts in the future?

I can't help but think that they keep putting Thunderbolt Ross in these movies for a bigger purpose, whether it be to bring the Thunderbolts together or to eventually transform into Red Hulk.

He was a pretty major role in The Incredible Hulk, but went dark until his small parts in Civil War and Infinity War and now Black Widow which is supposed to take place between those other two films. Maybe he's just there trying to track down Black Widow, but with how well Marvel Studios built to Endgame I believe they're trying to make his character more prominent so he can fill an even bigger role later.

If it's a connection with the Thunderbolts, maybe he's there looking for Taskmaster because of all the skills he possesses.

I think it'd be a great story for a Captain America (Sam Wilson) movie. Having Bucky and Bruce Banner as the supporting players.

I feel like Sam Wilson having the mantle of Captain America would negate him from joining a group like that. It's a team trying to do good, but it's mostly villains and anti-heroes. I could see Bucky as a part of it thigh since he wants to change.

I'm pretty sure Zemo and Ghost are members in the comics. I feel Taskmaster or Red Guardian could also be enlisted in Black Widow. Other than those people though, I can't really think of any other characters right now that could fill out the team.

Oh no, sorry, I meant using the Thunderbolts as the VILLAINS for a Sam Wilson solo movie. Though who knows, they might appear in that Falcon show.

reply

Oh okay, fair enough. Whatever they decide to do though I'm definitely all in on.

It seems they are setting up the Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers, which will be interesting to see.

I hope we don't get Red Hulk, though. I never liked that idea. I'd rather Ross stay normal.

I don't like Hurt's interpretation of Ross (Sam Elliot was far superior) but it'd be a change of pace from him just being an angry hologram screaming about Steve Rogers.

Thunderbolts has gone through many identities and re imaginings. The final one was led by Red Hulk (Ross). Combining Zemo, Ghost, and Ross would be a strange combination of three different eras of the comic. Loved the comic.

It would be cool if they had Ross at the end of each of these new phase movies collecting villains in much the same way Fury gathered heroes. The slow build of Thunderbolts in post-credit scenes.

Hawkeye led the Thunderbolts for awhile in the early days because he himself had started out as a villain. He'd be an interesting addition as well.

That would actually be awesome. I feel like it would make more sense as to why they brought him back as a character at all if he has a bigger part to play in the upcoming phases.
