Idk, she's fine enough in the Avengers, but I'm not exactly dying for her to have her own movie. Marvel has gotta make that $$$$ though

There are less expensive ways for Marvel to make money than filming a Black Widow movie. As an established multi-film Marvel star even without a franchise SJ will command a hefty salary. SJ has to be making $15 Million plus for this film. The Black Widow film will NOT be easy money for Marvel.

It will probably make Antman money.
I m a comic fan of Widow but i dislike her in the mcu. Shes a very boring character with no depth even Winter Soldier which is the best movie. Scarlett is a terrible choice shes looks awful in action scenes,can't do a Russian accent and after Avengers 1 she starts looking less athetic in each and her face changes too. Like others have said they should have made her more intresting and make a movie a long time ago. Its stupid focusing on a dead character thats not coming back. I m not looking forward to any upcoming movie or those Disney plus shows.

Yes it will probably make between 500-600m ww (Lucy made about 450m)..unless we've reached a point now where every MCU is going to break 1b ?

I don't think this can make a billion
1. Besides mcu fanboys not many people care for Widow. Especially knowing her fate. Shes not a new character and they can't use her as the first female solo they did that with Capt Marvel

2. I don't think Storywise it will be too important to the mcu

3. There is no Avengers movie coming after it and Endgame will already be 1 year old

4. Scarjo isnt bankable a lot of movies shes done outside of mcu have flopped and has done lots of supporting roles

Shes been in the mcu since 2010 shes had time to make an impact. Shes either intresting or not it shouldn't take a solo movie to decide that .same with Hawkeye and Wandavision.

With the Avengers flicks there's like eight main characters (or whatever), so filmmakers can't concentrate on any one individual for any great length of time. Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man are all interesting because they've been fleshed out in their own films. Black Widow has yet to do this. We've only seen flashes of her. Even at that, though, she's more interesting than, say, Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch or Storm.

Hopefully this solo film will give more depth to the character and make her more interesting. We'll see.

Those flashes should be enough to decide to move forward with her or not. Its like with comics some characters made guest appearances but prove themselves there and got their own books. I don't like Capt Marvel or SW in the movies but Widow is not at all better
