i can understand if you ride the building, it will disappear and warp out again 36 hours after you arrive. But if there was a nuke, and then the "heroes" appeared, then that's 2 times.

So we really don't know how often the building appears do we? And from the looks of it, it would seem you'll never be permanently stuck there. You are just stuck until the next bus (building) arrives however that is done.

I liked the whole concept, I'd have liked to see more.

The way I understand it is the building exists on all or at least most worlds. There is only one version that travels and when it arrives on a world a either integrates or overrides the static version of the building that's already there. Once it leaves you're stuck unless it comes back. What's not clear is if the destinations area random, controlled or have a pattern. Whichever way if you miss the ride you're likely stuck unless they control it and come back for some reason and you catch that it's back in time
