Trailer vs Film

Just finished watching this. I thoroughly enjoyed the idea, and I liked the cast. Obviously the ending was rather abrupt, like everyone says. Anyway, having never actually watched the trailer, I just took a look to see if I ever would have watched the "film" if I'd seen the trailer. There are two scenes in the trailer that weren't in the film, which makes no sense. They're clearly shots of Earths they didn't visit, one clip near the start is the Building in winter and the other at the very end has a big tree or something right outside the door of the Building. I wonder how those scenes were supposed to fit into the final version? Or, were they just filmed as additional scenes specifically for the trailer to be like "oh, look at all the possibilities!"

Also, the scene from the electronics store was different: when Harry puts his palm on the scanner, a hologram of his head comes up, not just a picture on the screen. Weird that they'd change that.
