At the end it was a mess.
This could be a better alternate to Sliders, as this pilot clearly has some secrets to solve. They don't just invent things on the fly, like Sliders did, when the novelty of parallel earths wore off.
It was a mess at the end but it had other problems. It didn't explore its premise well at all and for a long time each episode ripped off a movie plot. Once they got off that a lot of the universes made no sense at all and the Kromagg thing went on to no end.
This really has the potential to fix the problems Sliders had and make a more coherent story.
Yes Sliders had great potential and great FAIL. I'd like to see them make this a series with more sense. The idea that anyone no matter how smart can invent a cell phone interdimensional portal control device was ridiculous from the get go.

I have dreamed about a Sliders reboot or another multiverse adventure-show like it for two decades. This could be it.
shareI just started watching this movie (pilot to a never started series) & have gathered (based upon IMDB comments) that there is no conclusion. It's good to know that. Reminds me of X-Files, which I only kinda liked -- having no real ending.
I like Sliders, having seen all episodes, but only about 4 years ago, within about 3-4 months. I had no idea of Sliders when it first ran, although I had cable then, but was too busy working & socializing.
Added, a few minutes later:
I stopped watching after a 1/2 hour -- too slow & boring for me & not enough of the situation being explained. Good luck for those who liked it & a retry for this to be made into a series.
Sliders was okay. This movie didn't do it for me.
