Maybe a couple of Seasons about the start of SHIELD, transitioning to his later years right up until the birth of Tony Stark.

They missed the boat by not having Peggy and Howard organize SHIELD in Season 2.

They extended Season 2 by two episodes, and wasted the effort. They could have even introduced a young Fury (would he have been bald?), and his nefarious past.

But to your point, I'm not sure they want to set Howard's life in stone. They may want the flexibility of having to be able to explain some phenomenon to early SHIELD/Stark activity in the MCU. Like they did in Antman.

Now that Dominic Cooper is busy with Preacher and Hayley Atwell has Conviction, I can't see Peggy and Howard doing more that cameos or guest spots on the shows and movies.

They had a gold mine of material if they would have just followed up the plot lines from Capt America 1, Stark, the formation of SHIELD, Zola, Howlin' Commandos, what a disappointment. What were they waiting for?

Yeah, it would be a neat and funny show. Another season of Agent Carter would have been much appreciated, though. :P

Knowing what we know now, and how Howard is murdered by The Winter Soldier, I believe I have seen enough of Howard Stark.
