despite the movie isn't released here till AFTER Christmas 2016, the movie looks like garbage but a beautiful way to eat money from stupid people

its SMART marketing 😁

its just like why morons like 'glee' despite from what i can tell (as a non american) in american culture the glee club was for loser moron geeks and made fun of all the time, just like on cartoons like the simpsons. Yet why does it succeed? well apart from stupid reality/singing talent shows, its taking the most FAMOUS songs and milking its popularity to death EXAMPLE....

"alien antfarm" isn't that popular here, might be in america i'm not sure, but it was well known for certain period of time here, and for only one reason, why? ripping off michael jacksons "smooth criminal"

all glee and THIS movie are doing, is merely taking the most famous/popular/iconic things and milking the popularity out of it to death, the secret is the music i.e the notes in the tunes

example video games, you have the "guile theme" or anime "sailormoon/dragon ball GT j-pop version" commerical music example [SISQ unleash the dragon/thong song] billy jean by michael jackson. Something about the notes on these tunes make it super addictive to listen over and over again

all this is doing, is not clever script writing or having the brains to draw the animation but do two things

a) be another crappy 3D rendered movie b) milk the popularity out of famous songs to death to gain popularity for the movie
step 1: take popular stuff step 2: put it in your movie step 3: win 

just like everyone loves minions despite its a total rip off of 'rabbids' which is a bunch of non coherent creatures that are stupid that we don't know what they are, and rabbids came out first, all gimmicks!!
