Opening: $65 million
Domestic: $215-235 million
Worldwide: $550-600 million

I think a lower opening.Moana didnt even earn that during its opening weekend.Not so sure about domestic gross though, animated films usually have longer legs.However i think it earns more Worldwide.

The Lorax opened with $70 million and that wasn't even released on a Holiday.

Actually The Lorax was released on Dr. Seuss's birthday, if that counts.

Anyways my prediction for Sing:
OW: $35 mil
Dom total: $230 mil

I kind of based my numbers off of movies like Night of the Museum or Alvin and the Chipmunks.

But the lorax was pre-released and quite famous material.Sing is original and I think original movies have lower draws than movies that are based off characters of a famous series.Thats why i think there would be a lower opening.

Actually moana made 81 million opening weekend. It was an extended holiday weekend, but it did make more than that

This isn't something I'm going to watch or ever plan on doing so! But I know very well that films from this company bring out kids in droves! Just look at SLOP that made more in the United States than Zootopia! I see no reason to think this thing won't go crazy at the box office also and I think it'll have an opening on par or at least very close to Moana. By the time this is released Mona will just about be fizzled out so it'll very likely have the kids market practically all to it's self.

I liked most of Illumination films so far, except from The Minions which I hated. Lorax was quite average but still fun.
But when it comes to Sing, it looks unattractive to me. I might watch it online or on DVD.
Still, it's going to make TONS OF MONEY. I think it should match/top the first Despicable Me.
