Weird Logic

Mildly entertaining, but some puzzling bits.

1. It's okay to perform on property that isn't yours as long as you are talented?
Didn't matter that Buster once owned the theatre property, it was now no longer his.
And if someone points this out to you, it's okay to shout over them? Of course, we know Hollywood has always embraced tactics like this as being okay and acceptable.

2. I guess the reckless driving is okay if you are going to a rehearsal?

3. It's okay to promise prize money you don't have? That one has always puzzled me.
It was done on an episode of What's Happening? and Happy Days back in the seventies.
The approach on What's Happening? was if you only showed up for the reward, then you don't deserve the reward. Odd logic.

1. That would be his last, pardon the pun, act of redemption, as Buster never had a success in his career. Plus, all contestants (minus Mike bc he's a piece of *beep* and only cares about money and fame) wanted to do this. Another plus, they didn't charge anything for people to watch, it was merely a show that could be held at the park, at the subway, or at the former theatre's property, which was a place all animals knew. Trespassing? That's another 500. They did trespass.

2. Reckless driving is never okay, but it happens, and movies are supposed to show reality.

3. Also, promised $100 grand fully fault of the crazy lizard XD Miss Crawly meant for the best when typing that flier, what she didn't count with was her glass eye. And, I figure, once you have... What? 8,000 fliers around the city, with the name of your theatre in it? And get that much media attention, you're not gonna get in front of the cameras and say "Sorry, I have a crazy assistant! It's actually $938 and $100 bucks worth of junk! Really sorry!" Can you remotely imagine how pissed off all animals that waited in that line would be? Plus, once the show was a success, he could pay his debt to the bank, and maybe finally get the money from Eddie's parents, now that he is a success?

Is it fine to do these things? No, no it isn't. But just as people in the real world, fictional people/animals aren't perfect, and make mistakes.

Special note on #2 - there's direct consequences to this if you pay attention. In his reckless driving to the rehearsal Johnny causes a crash behind him. It's the same crash that blocks up the traffic when he tries to go back the same way.

You're looking too deep into the movie. Just enjoy it for what it is. Sometime take a break from reality and watch in the confines of the theater screen, not outside it.

Not everything has to be examined.

4. Live Theatre is dead, but a SINGING COMPETITION will save the day! Maybe 10 years ago... but last I checked, Live theatre is thriving (Hamilton) and american idol got canceled...

I'm STILL always right.
