Couldn't Nicole and Azan get married in Morocco and then go to the US? It seems like it would be easier, faster, and cheaper than waiting for a K1 Visa. Then, they could have a small ceremony or reception with her family and daughter later.
For the record: I know Azan doesn't love Nicole, but he is willing to marry her...
Some people do it that way, but there's really no significant difference between the two visas. If they marry in Morocco, Nicole will eventually have to go home and Azan will still have to be granted a visa by the US before he can arrive for good.
Basically either visa is a long wait and a lot of paperwork. The only real difference is whether or not you'd rather be separated for months as fiancé's, or spouses.
My nail guy who is a citizen just went to China a few months ago and married a girl. But he told me it was going to take a year for her to be allowed to come here no matter what.

shareK1 visa is usually approved within 6 months. If they got married in Morocco it would take over a year for Azan's paperwork to clear for him to come to the USA.
