Alla at the supermarket

Anyone else thought it was a little weird that Alla nearly had a meltdown at the supermarket just by looking for food? I mean, it a supermarket, not a torture maze.
I'm not going to buy, "she's a foreigner in a strange shop" I lived most of my adult life in Europe (I'm an American) and I wouldn't get bent out of shape looking for milk, eggs and vegetables in a European grocery store. Hell, most large stores like Wal-mart have overhead signs on the aisles.

Very odd.

Lol I'm American and I lived in Europe last year. There were days of maximum frustration, especially in the first month, I think one day I finally broke and cried over a SIM card... but no I don't think I cried over a grocery store. However I knew other expats who would get flustered over stuff like that. I don't know. I visited China briefly and almost got lost in their Wal-Mart lmao, but I wasn't upset about it. It does up the stakes (well it did for me) when even the alphabet/characters are different.

I remember that she was complaining about something, but can't remember specifically what was her problem. I'm an American who's been living in Canada for the last 17 years, and when I first came here, it bothered me a lot that the stores don't have nearly the large and various selection of items that stores in the U.S. have. But I would think that it would be the opposite for Alla. I can't imagine stores in Russia having nearly as many items to choose from as U.S. stores.
