Will Zach ever get rid of that damn beard?
Even when he portrays a clown, he still refuse to shave off his beard for the role. I bet he would look completely unrecognizable and less distracting.
This guy sure loves his beard.

llol why you got to hate on the beard? i guess he could change it up, when you factor in that hes a clown i actually think that would be the perfect time to do it. pretty cool
shareHe has done TV shows and movies without a beard, such as: Boston Common, Apt 2F, Dog Bites Man, and The Campaign. He even shaved off his beard during a quick change during a commercial break the first time he hosted Saturday Night Live. Without knowing him, I would assume he would shave if the part called for it, but I would also assume that many producers would like him to have a beard because it is his iconic look and creates instant familiarity and recognition, much like Tom Selleck and his mustache. Tom, like Zach, has done work without facial hair, but it is how he is best known.
Although I haven't seen Baskets yet, and I do not know if a rationale for his make up will be explained or not, I do find the visual gag of him using white clown make up to cover half of his beard rather funny.
He has shaved it off.
