Weekly airing doesn't work - should be bingewatched
This show should be on netflix or a similar streaming service where you can watch all the episodes at once. That would be a better fit for the tone of the show.

shareAgreed.
shareI agree. This is not a commercial series, because the type of audience it will appeal to is not mainstream. It is sad, funny, and thought provoking, but not in a "laugh track" market way.
"Arguing with idiots is like trying to play chess with a pigeon..."
Thank you! That summed up exactly what is wrong with this show. I couldn't put my finger on it but as I watched the first episodes all I could think was, I should enjoy this more. Maybe binge watching it all at once would do the trick.
Although I have to throw in that Louie Anderson as Mrs. Baskets is a stroke of effing genius. He's hilarious.
I'm enjoying it weekly, but agreed. This show was made for bingewatching.
shareI watched and rewatched the first 3 episodes on fxgo app. The show is even funny with the sound turned off, and it is even funny when you can't see the screen and just listen to the banter/chatter. With both elements together this show is pure genius.

Is this thread for real? Any show can be binge watched. Wait until all the episodes have aired and there you go.
shareBut if too many people do that then there will not be enough episodes to binge watch.
Yeah but then you have to wait for all the episodes to be aired. There's such a shortage of anything decent to watch that it makes it hard to wait. I think OP's just saying that if it was also on Netflix (the way Trailer Park Boys is going to be) then it would be more enjoyable. I think we all understand that you can wait and then watch them all at once.
share.. I don't think I could take more than an episode at a time!
just watched the 4th, Easter in Bakersfield. tragicomedy.. a bruising success.
bruising!
Beckett-like humor, but set in the terrifying desert that is/can be.. this country's cultural landscape?
'anything I can do to make your visit more pleasant, sir? golf? a massage?'
the eerie sight of mother and son at the slot machines..
Martha singing/crying in the car..
shudder.
no bingewatching for me!
