Greetings. This episode had me confused. Were we watching two different time frames throughout the episode? At first when Mrs. Baskets was on the couch I thought it was Dale sitting next to her and I still questioned it when they were talking about the rodeo. We saw Chip peeing in the cowboy urinal and then Martha and her niece and nephew watching him perform. All of this was happening while Chip was hanging out with the "gypsy's". If I followed it correctly we were bouncing back and forth between two time frames. Correct?

I don't think of flashbacks as strange storytelling, they used it to highlight the main conflicts of last season.

But these were new scenes, correct?

No offense, but seriously, are you all really so confused? Have you not ever seen shows with flashbacks before? I certainly recommend that you DON'T watch 'This is Us.'

No offense taken. Yeah, I'm very familiar with flashbacks. Not sure why this one confused me so much. Not enough sleep, I guess.

Thanks for being a good sport, and flashbacks can be difficult to follow. I was a little confused about whether it was Chip or Dale that was watching TV with the mom at first too.

It's all good. I think that's exactly why it confused me. I too thought it was Dale but then realized it was Chip. Love the show!
