I love this show because Chip reminds me of myself. Especially the dinamics involved with his French wife. I once had a girl friend like her. She only showed interest in me when she wanted something. Plus she was seeing her estranged husband on the side. I had a love/hate relationship with her.
This show was the best in this series to me. It showed Chip in the most fragile state of mind to me also.
They should just call the show a drama.
I don't think I laughed at all this week. It was kind of captivating in a strange way though. They've made Chip much deeper than your typical deadbeat lead of a comedy. But I hope he gets back to the family next week. This hobo excursion isn't doing it for me.

shareI think one of the greatest strengths of this show is how it blends comedy and drama together. The show has an overall gloomy feel to it, but it also always has come great comedy in it.
The scene where he greets the police at the door had some LOL moments, like when he said he closed the door because his zipper was down...he looks downs and its still down, and he says 'Slippery little thing,' or something like that.
Plus the excuse that he's house sitting because they are out test driving at night.
