Terrible film, a 2/10

This movie was a huge disappointment. It isn't funny or entertaining. The screenplay, which somehow got an Oscar nomination, is poorly written. I don't usually describe movies as pretentious, but this is the rare case where the label fits. This movie is too long and drags on. I found the movie boring for much of the time and sometimes downright unpleasant and annoying. The film does have a good cast and the actors do a decent job, but they can't save this awful film. Honestly, this is one of the worst films I've seen in years.

I thought it was an interesting concept and that the director got it more right than not, but I'm not sure it's actually a movie.... This is something that other poster have said about this director's work...

i can agree somewhat, but I cannot even remember how the film ended and what it meant on the whole, even though I did appreciate several of it's more interesting themes, as well as the absurdity of it all...

I don't think it's bad at all, just more of an experimental movie than a proper film...

I think it's not that bad. While felt pretentious at times, I agree, but at least it does something different AND somewhat interesting. I like how akward people seems depicted in the movie... for about half the run time.

The other half however, the scenes in the jungle, were downright bad. It's like two barely related stories simply concatenated. Still, I could watch it all the way to the end, so I'll give it around 4 or 5/10.
