"The Fabric of Attraction"

The DVD has one "making of " extra, about 22 minutes long, and it is called "The Fabric of Attraction", the filmmakers go on to explain that this movie is about love and attraction. Albeit in a very unusual world. David is the only character with a name, the others are referenced by their features (Short Sighted Woman) or their jobs (Hotel Manager), and the title is a reference to David's chosen animal, so it really is primarily David's story of love and attraction.

Regarding the ending there is no actual correct or incorrect interpretation, the filmmaker just wants viewers to think about the movie and form their own opinions.

The day after I watched this movie I was listening to an old Meat Loaf CD, and the lyrics hit me:

Anything for love, Oh I would do anything for love
I would do anything for love, but I won't do that
No, I won't do that
