Loner Leader...so many questions???

What was the purpose of the two couples visiting her parents?

Confused about why they would stay out in the woods anyway? Is it because they didn't have documentation or the proper papers to live in the city?

When she allowed the ex maid to get stabbed by the blind women? Now that the ex maid quit her job and cannot provide goods to the woods people, Loner Leader lets her die?

And if she doesn't have use for the maid, why keep the blind women around? Does she feed off others misery?

No clue. Just more stupidity from this sick, stupid, cruel, nonsensical piece of garbage.

1) I think it was just to keep up a facade so that her parents would never become suspicious and seek her out. I mean she was basically a cult leader so if they would of pursued her in any way it would of caused quite a stir and would of likely involved the proper authorities.
2) I think that was because they were basically all outlaws and would of been incarcerated had they been discovered since they all escaped from their "treatment" center!
3) I think this was to prove a point and show unequivocally that any type of dissidence would not be tolerated. She could also blame the murder on Rachel Weisz character and no one would be any the wiser if it came down to that.
4) I think the director made it a point to blind her to show how love is "blind" in a sense and to set up the final act which would test their true love and show whether Colin Farrell would stay with her no matter what! Would he go so far as to blind himself and follow her until the end of their days?!? We'll never know honestly. Not to mention that woman was just pure EVIL (Loner leader).
