the stagecoach with John Ruth would be stopping at Minnie's at all, when they arrived the weather was beautiful, did he watch the 6 o'clock news to see a blizzard was coming in? Yes I know it's probably a regular stop for the stagecoach, but John Ruth paid extra for a private trip, and was certainly in a hurry to get her to Red Rock to get his money, but my main reason for asking is Jody tells the rest of his gang they'll be trapped there for 2 or 3 days. My local weatherman has access to Doppler Radar and is only right on the weather about 60% of the time... ;)
"Well, isn't this place a geographical oddity! Two weeks from everywhere!"

When exactly did he say this? Did he say this in the morning or shortly before the stagecoach arrived? It's possible their original plan wasn't to wait it out for 2 or 3 days but maybe block the road and force them to enter the haberdashery. Once the weather turned, then they realized that the stagecoach would have no choice but to stop.
If he said it in the morning, then I agree it's unlikely Jody would know for sure that they would stop there and have to stay for 2 or 3 days. However, I don't think the gang would murder 6 or more people unless they were fairly sure that the stagecoach would stop there.
It's possible that all stagecoaches had to stop there to allow the horses to rest due to fatigue, so maybe that's how they knew they would stop there.
That makes sense to me. The gang probably found out through the telegraph that John Ruth was bringing Daisy to Red Rock and knew he would stop at the haberdashery. So they murdered everyone inside and waited. Once they saw a storm was coming in they knew John Ruth would be stuck there and they could take their time. But with the unexpected addition of Warren and Mannix executing their plan became impossible because Warren, Ruth and Mannix were suspicious from the start.
I suspect that Jody knew they would stop at Minnie's simply because it's a stop on the way, when there are not too many stops. Horses need water perhaps, and people want coffee and jelly beans. As for the 2-3 day delay, it would depend on when they arrived (in relation to when Ruth was arriving) and how the weather was looking when they arrived; but yes, this is a tougher issue.
